For those seniors who took the SAT on Oct. 12, 2022, test scores are published in most students' College Board accounts by November 3, 2022.
Families, your student should be receiving their test scores at this time, if they have not already. If a student had to take the SAT on a make-up day, they may not receive their scores until later in November.
Seniors, we know all the effort you have put into SAT Prep starting last October and are excited for you to receive your final SAT scores. Please discuss your scores with your college counselor, to see what decisions you may want to make about applying to college, including how this may affect your college list, to which colleges you want to submit test scores and where you may wish to apply test optional.
For students who received 480 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) and 530 on the Math SAT, you also have earned an exemption from the TSIA.
Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA)
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment is a standard test that Texas colleges administer to students enrolling in college to place students in the proper English and math courses. This placement test ensures students are taking the right classes as college freshmen, to help them succeed as a freshman and in their future college courses.
For students who earn a 480 EBRW and 530 MATH SAT score, your SAT score is used as your placement score in your transition to colleges in Texas.
If you did not earn a 480 EBRW or a 530 MATH SAT score, your college counselor will be talking with you about taking the TSIA. Students will have opportunities to take the TSIA on their campus this spring and submit those scores to the colleges they are accepted to help them transition smoothly to college.
